the time limit for filing the Belated reurn is one year from the end of the relevent AY.
In your case it is 31.03.2010.So already the time limit is over....

Ms swetha is correct, but in case of belated return first file your return manually with a request to the ito to accept the return as belated return. then file a letter to the concerned Commissioner asking to condone the delay under section 119(2)(b) of the it act. The commissioner may condoe the delay and order the ito to issue the refund.

What information has to be filed with CIT for condonation. Is Mere request letter is enough or any other document needs to be filed? if belated refund is due for couple of years id it necessary to file condonation for each year?
