1. First of all the applicant is required to obtain the registration under Section 12A before getting the 80 G certificate.
2. The application shall be made to the Income Tax commissioner in Form 10G.
3. After receiving the application the commissioner will scrutinize the same and may ask for additional information if required.
If the commissioner is satisfied with the application he may pass an order in writing registering the Trust/Institution under Section 80G of Income Tax Act. Further, in order to avail the deduction the payment shall be made as specified under the law.
