how to deal with standard costing

U must do it if you keep confidence on you taht u can do it. Standard costing is no so tough dear

Its a simple chapter. Standard costing is divided into 7-8 small topics like material variance, labour variance etc. Just  do 2-3 sums from each topic and the chapter is done. Its completely a formula based chapter.

Before starting every  topic of this chapter, see a solved example of the same . Slowly read the sum and see the solution. Read the theory part of it to make your conecept more clear.

And ofcourse solve previous years question to make a grip on the chapter.

standrad Costing is not formula based.The Beauty of the Chapter lies if u understand the concepts crystal clear.If u concentrate on formula's ull be lost..Once u understand the concepts u don need any Formula's..Infact if u Follow the formula's u will be making this chapter more difficult for u...
