How to claim tds amount

Dear Friends,

     I have kept some Amount in Bank, as a Fixed Deposit & Banker has Deducted TDS 20% (due to not Submission of PAN no) Now is there any chance to get deducted Amount in Bank, (and one more thing if I provide PAN No to Bank then it will eligible for 10% TDS then what about remaining 10% deducted amount, is it recoverable remaining 10%? suggest me your best opinions

Sir,

Not to worry about it. Firstly you have got PAN No. secondly got the certificate or generate the Form 26AS i.e. show the total amount of TDS and calculate the taxable income and adjusted the Tax or Refund as per Terms & condition. If any query plz forward the same.

Dear pranesh, recently we had a good discussion on forum on the same problem. The solution which we found was- first get a pan issued and submit it with your bank. Ask them to revise their tds return. On revision of tds return the whole 20%will be shown in your 26as. Claim the whole amount in itr and get got refund. Regards
