Hi, I have paid tax for the year 2008-2009 and in the it form its written as Refund for Rs6000/-. How can I claim this in Hyderabad.

You will know whether you got the refund or not. Now a days the refunds are credited directly to your bank account, which you might have mentioned at the time of filing your income tax returns.

If on the site stated by Balaji, message is appearing as "Your assessing officer has not sent this refund to Refund Banker.", then contact the assessing officer where you have filed the return.
In some cases, IT offices displays the Ack No & Date up to which refunds have been cleared as a part of taxpayer services. So it is likely that the case may not be completed & hence no refund is sent to Refund banker, Secondly you may not have mentioned bank a/c details or details may be incorrect.

dear sir,
i have filled ITR-4 For A.Y. 2007-08 & 2008-09 and claim some refund as per self assessement but not claimed for IT Officer. and not received the amount of refund up to date. Now can i claim for given assessement years refund amount
