Step 1: Find an Aadhaar enrolment centre by visiting the official website of UIDAI. On the homepage, click on the "Enrolment/Download E-Aadhaar/Update" option, and then select "Locate an Enrolment Center" from the menu. Enter your location details to find the nearest enrolment centre.
Step 2: Visit the enrolment centre with the required documents. The documents required for Aadhaar enrolment are proof of identity and proof of address. You can find a list of accepted documents on the UIDAI website.
Step 3: Fill the enrolment form with the requested details such as your name, date of birth, gender, and contact details.
Step 4: Submit the required documents for verification. The enrolment operator will verify your identity and address using the documents you provide.
Step 5: Provide your biometrics, which include a fingerprint scan and an iris scan. These biometrics will be used to create a unique identification number for you.
Step 6: After completing the enrolment process, you will be given an enrolment acknowledgement slip. This slip contains your enrolment number, which you can use to check the status of your Aadhaar application.
The Aadhaar enrolment process is voluntary and free of cost. Once your application is processed and your Aadhaar card is generated, it will be sent to your registered address via post. You can also download a digital copy of your Aadhaar card from the UIDAI website once it is generated.
