How strict is the ban on cellphones in the examination centr

How strict is the ban on cellphones in the examination centre. I am writing CPT tomorrow. The rules state a complete no-no on cellphones, not allowed even in switched off mode.

But I have written other competetive exams in the past, there also the rule states the same but students do carry them in switched off mode inside.

Can someone please how strict is the ban in CA-CPT exams ??
