PROUD TO BE AN INDIAN!
How many of us know about the Indian Greats of the past?? Do we know what all this great nation gave the world??
• Do we know that it was India which gave the number system ?
• Do we know that it was Bharath which gave the decimal system?
• Do we know that it was Bharath which gave algebra, calculus, trigonometry?
• While the world has not yet been able to use more than 1012, our ancestors were able to 1053 !
• The Pythagoras Theorem which is known to be the gift of Greek is actually the gift of India to the world
long before Pythagoras!
• Kanaada was the ‘Father of Atomic Theory’!
• We remember Wright Brothers as the ones who invented an aeroplane but our ancestors used many vimanas like pushpaka vimana, shakuna vimana, etc.. long before them
• Bhaskaracharya was the first ever known scientist, to have mentioned about the gravitational force of the earth, in his work 'Surya Siddhanta', about 500 years before Newton!
Many more instances prove us that we Bharathiyas were far better than the westerners. How many of us are aware of these?? How many schools or texts teach our kids about all these??
We are so well brainwashed that we today are not at alI ready to accept ourselves as “Greats”! This was a nation of treasures! Here education was the very backbone which was later broken by Lord Macaulay, and we today are always keen to make his dreams of “India an ever slave of British” come true! Let us all try to bring back the glory of this nation. Let’s teach our kids our tradition, culture and educational values first than opting to teach more about others! There is nothing wrong to teach about others but not at the cost of our own values. Let the talents of India be used for India! Let’s stop draining our intelligence, talents to the west!
