How many no.of max. audit done by a CA ?

As per my view now the Audit limit is 45 for for a CA....

& lets see what other sayyyyyyyy

I don't think there is any limit on tax audit.

UNDER CA ACT, 1949, THERE IS A LIMIT ON TAX AUDIT (ONLY FOR THE AUDITS CONDUCTED UNDER SEC. 44AB OF THE INCOME TAX ACT, 1961) WHICH IS 45 IN A FINANCIAL YEAR. IT MAY BE NOTED THAT THE INCOME TAX ACT IS SILENT ABOUT THE LIMIT.

correct.. ICAI provided just to give security to other members.

only 45 tax audit per CA ,so if ther is partnership firm then no of tax audit = 45 * No of partner.....

icai limits no.of audits to be by a c.a. incase of tax audits it is 45. and in case of public company audits its 20 in which auditor can accept only 10 audits in which cap xceeda 25lacs. other private company, branch audits etc can de limited to 10. so overall limit is 30 for an individual.
