Investment in Fixed deposit of not less than 5 years in a SBI is available deduction u/s 80C.
EVEN THOUGH MORE THEN 5 YEAR FDR IS AVAILABLE AS DEDUCTION BUT ITS INTEREST IS FULLY TAXABLE AND IF U FALL I 30% SLAB THEN ITS EFFECTIVE YIELD IS VERY LOW AS COMPARED TO P.P.F.
