How do you clip off a part of a video in vegas?

Hello Friends,

I am working on a movie project for school. Let's say in a clip of ours that we were filming, something unwanted got in the scene like a parked truck in the background while making a medieval scene. We wanna keep the whole scene but crop out the side of the video clip containing the truck in Sony Vegas. How do you clip off a part of a video in Vegas? Is there any way to do this?

Thanks In Advance

Sony Vegas allows you to cut video. I have used it. However, it's actually a bit difficult for our new beginners. I lastly use a lossless yet high-speed video cutter - Joyoshare Media Cutter, to do this job. Also, you can try some online free solutions if you want to cut clips right away.

In Sony Vegas, you don’t actually need to cut the clip to remove something on the side of the frame. The easiest way is to use Event Pan/Crop. Just right-click the clip on the timeline, open Pan/Crop, then resize or move the frame to crop out the unwanted area (like the parked truck). This keeps the full scene length intact while removing distractions. If the object only appears briefly, you can also keyframe the crop so it adjusts smoothly over time.

That said, for students or beginners who want a quicker and more visual workflow, mobile and lightweight editors are getting really popular now. Tools like CapCut make cropping and reframing extremely simple with drag-and-drop controls. Many people look for options like capcut pro apk download without watermark when they want clean exports for school or social projects, while others explore capcut crack apk versions to test advanced features before committing to a full setup.
