Dinesh, Training in articles to a little extent help a person in clearing in CA exams unless u are exposed to different types of areas but if u are exposed to one particular area alone.i.e. only internal audit or only statutory audit or int. taxation or so on, it has little chances of being useful to ur exam..But passin a exam and exposure are two different aspects..exams are meant to qualify u as a chartered accountant but work experience ll play a major once u qualify as a CA as it helps in a lot of ways such as personality development(professionally), ability to manage stress, cope up with work pressure,,etc. etc.
