But Anshu In Case if it is 01/04/2008 then it will be 31/03/2008. It is just the difference of 1 day. Can u giv me cross refrence of any case?

no doubt, when construction is completed on 1-4-2008, the pre-construction period shall be upto 31-3-2008.

difference of one day will count the pre-construction period one year more.

Money  may  be  borrowed  prior  to  the  acquisition  or  construction  of  the  property.

In such a case, the period commencing from the date of  borrowing and ending on the date of repayment of loan or on March 31 immediately preceeding the date of acquisition  or  completion  of  construction,  whichever  is  earlier,  is  termed  as  the pre-construction  period.

Therefore, in this case preconstruction period completed on 31/03/2008.

Thanks & Regards

Rajat
