A residential house property is in the name of a assessee, can his wife claim the income from house property in her return of income?, if so what is the procedure

for claiming the tax benefits on the property:
1. You must be a co-owner in the property
2. You must be a co-borrower for the loan.
Else you can not eligible to claim income from house property.
is the the rent also going to be split between the 2? also will it be in ratio or who is paying the emi?
no emi, all the loans are paid.. She is going to offer income from rent
