I m on contract (through not any Contractor) working in U.P. judiciary last 5 years. I m getting Rs. 50000 per month as honorarium. I have diducted income tax every year as salaried person and file ITR but this year my accountant saying he will deducting 10% every month from honorarium.

Sir/ Mam want to know is it right or wrong as per Income Tax Rules ?

Clarify th nature you received suxh payment on contract basis or salary basis.
In case you ar not salaried & on contract basis then TDS @ 1% requiered to deduct u/s 194 C.
If payment is not in nature of contact or salary both then TDS @ 10% required to deducted u/s 194J

See the section in 26AS whether it is 192 or 194C
