As my gross income is 500000/- per annum . Is it mandatory to maintain books for me?

Actually i have salary + home tution
Salary around 200000/-pa and home tution net income around 200000/-pa

Yes you are required to maintain books as your income from tution receipt is more than Rs.120000/-

Yes you declared income on presumptive basis in ITR-4.
