Dear Vinayak,
Dont go by such blind rumours. There is nothing secret in the CA exam. Dont believe anything unless it has been oficially announced by ICAI.
Study well and write your exams well.

Thank you Sir for your reply.. what i actually meant was suppose if one gets 100+ in Economics+Merchantile Law and Economics and e.g 0 in Quantative Aptitute, then will he/she be declared pass???

Yes... even if you get 0% in qt, still you will pass as long as you can manage the total pass mark. If there is any minimum % to be obtained in any area... institute will be very specific about that.
But it is not a good idea to leave a complete area as such and QT is very good area to score more and it is required in all your further studies till CA final and even further. So, see how to crack it.
I am a CA final student having written my exams in Nov 08 and completed CWA, CS, MBA, CIMA, CPA like courses.

is the minimum marks 50% should be scored in all subjects is it true or not .i request please send a reply i heared that the pattern had changed recently in jan 1st week
