Based on my personal experience, here are a few suggestions to you.
1. Firstly, you need to make a thorough preparation of the subect relevant to the profile for which they're look for (eg. taxation, statutory audit, etc).
2. You should also brush up your knowledge on the other basic core areas of CA viz., AS, Company Audit, Tax Audit, etc
3. And very importantly, you need to concentrate on the recent developments in our profession i.e, CARO 201, IND AS, ICDS, Companies Act, 2015 (relevant provisions), Budget, etc.
It is important to remember that the interviewers usually ask you very basic questions. So whilst preparing, please keep this in mind.
Apart from the above mentioned points, here are a few basic interview tips.
1. You should be able to clearly explain about each and every single line you write in your resume. Particularly, you need to focus on your articleship experience viz., the challenges you faced, your achievements, etc.
2. Throughout the interview time, you need to stay relaxed and confident. Even if you're not, atleast try to pretend so.
3. Try to maintain maximum eye contact with all the people in the interview room.
4. And finally just try to be honest with your answers to the extent possible.
Good luck!
