i am nitin...i aapeared for pe-2 exam on may08 but dis time also i am not able to clear it...thatwasmy 3rd attempt...i dont knw seriouslly were i m doing a mistake...i got 142 in 1st group and 136 in 2nd group.....acc-38,audit-53,law51 and cost 34,tax 52,it 50....in earlier attempt also i got some were around dis marks....now i am really frustrated...please provide me guidance....how should i prepare myself for nov08...specially costing & fm......

Nitin, firstly don't get frustrated...
See, the Institute after qualifying, confers upon us the duty that once we sign the Financial statements, virtually no one can question it authenticity, then isn't it justified for the Institute to check that only the genuine candidates pass...
Maybe you've missed out something somewhere!!
This exam need sselective study, planned study..I would suggest you to join a study circle or group, join a library, slove papers.. and try to keep the same motivation to pass...
I myself have taken 4 attempts!!! but atlast cleared!!

my case was also the same. give 1 group at a time. actuallywhat happens, we are able to cover the entire syllabus but at time of exmas we cant revise the same because of tight schedule of 6 papers. so give 3 at a time and give each paper time to study and revise.
and plan it properly and go for single source of study completly instead of doing up from many places.

just go through some PCC exam papers. the pattern is different. it has more objective type Questions...do enough research b4 thinkin abt the transition.........

haldwani keep on trying... this is the general problem of most of the people, one day you will get through. Never compare last attempt what u did.... every exam is like a fresh ball in the cricket field. Anything can happen with that but you strong morally to tackle the situation.

^To be honest the only advantage you will get in PCC is that you can do your articleship along with PCC whether you clear the exams or not. While in PE-2, unless and until you clear your PE-2 you wont be allowed to start your articleship :(
I suggest sticking with PE-2 for the simple fact that you have knowledge of the syllabus, which is completely changed in PCC. You have to start afresh if you choose PCC.

For migration issue, tahts a call you will have to take..but my personal opinion is don't take migration
