No recently I attended National Conference of CA students conducted in Mumbai and were our BOS chairman Shri Vinod Jainji said that IFRS or any new Subject(GST,Company Bill 2009) will be applicable only after notification and that too after 6 months of notification. Still no notification is given By MCA,Finance Ministry about the applicability of IFRS,Forget that there is a tussel going on Between MCA and Finance Ministry were the later want to postpone Implementation of IFRs. So go on and enjoy reading India Accounting Standards.............................Hapy Stdying

IFRS is anyhow not in IPCC syllabus, it's in Final..
You generally have notifications for applicability of new provisions, etc.. at least 2-3 months before exams, so keep visiting www.icai.org regularly..

Yeah but there was a question on IFRS in the CA Final Nov'10 examination.. and the IFRS are applicable to the Indian entities w.e.f. 1/4/2011.
So this means IFRS should not be applicable in even the May'11 examinations, but u need to be updated.
