13 January 2010Hallo.Can anyone help me out with this query.My Great Grandfathers houseproperty will be sold out of which my father will get a share.my fathers IT return is not filed.so is it necessary to file return before that though is income is below exemption limit.

Dear N keswani,
It is NOT AT ALL necessary to file return of ur father BEFORE THE SALE OF PROPERTY since his income is below exemption limit...
Even after the sale of house, if ur Father's income is less than Exemption limit It is not mandatory to file return.
