i am pe2 students appearing nov 2009 exams. i am unable to get marks in accounts only getting 30 - 35 marks.
pls suggest me to get above 60 marks in accounts

just revise ur syllabus with illustrations given in the book. don't try much unsolved problem coz illustrations given in the books are normally previous year questions that were asked in the examinations. These illustrations helps u to understand the problems.Strong ur theory portion also. use D.S.rawat for AS & study material for misc theory. U can use M.P. Vijay kumar's book from Prime academy publication.

the most important thing is your time management , the level of confidence you keep in examination hall , and also you have fully prepared . In examination format not required normally so avoid wasting time in making ledger formats ... all the best

STUDY SOLVED SCANNER OR COMPILER.......
THEY R BOON FOR EVERY STUDENT FOR SECURING GOOD MARKS...
I HAVE CLEARED MY PE-2 Ist Group.......
but not 2nd.......yet.....

I will suggest you first of all practice. But the practice should be effective. Keep on solving questions is only time consuming until and unless the concepts are not clear. So I advice you to first read and learn concepts thoroughly. Conceptual clarity also helps in attempting objective questions which are again very scoring. BEST OF LUCK

first parctice all chaps perfectly....dunt go for selective studies....
PRESENTATION.....FIRST GO FOR 2M Q'S THEN 4M...BY 45 MIN U SHUD FINISH THEM,,BY THEN U WIL B WRITING FOR 32/36M...THEN GO FOR 8M..SOLVE THE EASIEST ONE'S ..CHOOSE 20 M ATLAST......I STUDIED WELL BUT FLUNKED IN MY FIRST ATTEMPT AS I STARTED WITH 20M AND AL TIME WENT WASTE.....I GOT 38...SCOND TIME I GOT 85.........ALL THE BEST FOR U.......

Scoring 60+ in a practical subject depends on the following matters:
1. Practice
2. Thorough in basic concepts
3. Application of mind &
4. Presentation in Exams( workings)
Go through the compilations & previous years solved papers, prepare notes for that...& revise it thoroughly....All the very best wishes...

first of all revise ur syllabus strong concepts like amalgamation, partnership accounts, company accounts, single entry system, accounting standards and theory portion. these topics must be revised thoroughly. Try to pratice solved illustrations of ur book by writing in ur copy. this makes ur confidence strong as well as helps u in scoring good marks in accounts.
last but not least don't lose confidence in urself.
