Dont waste time. No need to prepare notes from study material as it is time consuming.. refer Manish Valecha textbook with Practice Manual. it has memory codes which will help you to remeber the material easily. ISCA can be completed within a week.

Yes u can get exemption in ISCA by studying from the best book. I recommend u the the book of CA Sudeep Mangla "Secret to crack ISCA". It is the best book for self study.
It consist of full Coverage of the ICAI study material, Wide range of diagrams & Charts. Lengthy topics have been very well summarised and Simplified explanation to headings.
This book will surely help u to get exemption in this subject.

For exemption, accuracy is must, for accuracy revision is must. If you revise the subject mutiple times you will clear paper with exemption. Reading this book or that book will not help. Read subject daily basis 2-3 hours are sufficient. Complete syllabus as soon as possible (maximum 15 days are enough for isca). If you have prepared your notes read them otherwise don't waste time in sm as it has lots of irrelevant stuff. You can refer manish valechha or Padhuka isca question bank..

Refer only one book for your exam. Don't study from multiple books. It will waste your time. Practice manual contains most expected questions. Do it well.

The only thing you need to keep in mind for getting exemption in ISCA is use only and only the Study Material, it will give you entire contents and no questions will be asked from outside material, but yes the answering pattern should be same like in PM.
Remember one thing that the Presentation matters a lot for ISCA like Diagram, Charts, Point wise answers, etc.
All the very Best...
