i too was searching for a cost book for self study and found many people referring to the 1 whom u have referred above and a book from "Vashisht Saxena"(I bought this 1)
But still i would suggest u too try a bit of searching on this forum and thn decide

book of makkar sir is vry gud for self study...but if u want 2 refer anothr book den u cn go fr S D bala.............

Thanks purvi but aggarwal sir's notes of new syllabus are not yet in market.I asked them out on pooja law house but couldnt find them there. will you please tell form where i can get them

i'm taking mafa, A/c, and costing from makkar sir and i think no comparisons can be made with any other teacher so far as notes are concerned you can blindly faith on makkar sir's notes...... go for it.........

I will suggest padhuka.. but consider as a secondary reference....if you not having any coaching...

Try out Saravana prasad's book.. its really good
