If a GTA submits a invoice with service tax then who's liability to pay service tax to the dept? are there different provisions for limited GTA and for others?

IF GTA has issued the invoice/ TR with service tax then GTA will pay the tax, otherwise the service receipent.

What if GTA does not pay d tax? Bcoz i read dat d onus is on the service recipient to pay GTA service tax to govt.

yes where Goods transporter has not charged service tax, the receipent has to pay the service tax on such services received by registering himself with servicetax department.

D question is if GTA charges service tax in d invoice but does not pay to govt, den who will be held responsible 4 non payment?

Of course GTA will responsible in your business cash recd at same time after delivery of goods so you have to payment that time to government…. On receipt basis…

in such cases GTA would stand liable, privided you have paid the transport charges with service tax charged to transporter.
