We have paid 38,979/- to a GTA Provider. In that 979 is service tax amount.

We have taken 979 as input credit and adjusted but not paid any service tax

My querry is how much we have to pay as service tax on the above.?

YES you have to pay service tax because reversal of entry under GTA input can not be adjust against service tax liability

But please expain for what amount as Gross and how much ST

As you said you paid 38979.00(gross amount) including st and st 979.00

That means GTA Service is partially taxable.......

But you are necessary to pay that liability before taking credit
