GSTR1 stock details

in hsn summary even if we dont mention the quantity details on total quantity coloumn is it ohk..?

it is compulsory to file ?

upto 1.5 crore HSN not mendetory
above 1.5 crore HSN with stock is mendetory

no its not ok... you need to file complete details... if less than 1.5cr T/O than can provide descriptttion if more than 1.5cr T/O HSN mandatory along with all the other details. if in service sector than choose code as OTHERS and quantity as 0.

dear CA ritesh ji HSN field is only applicable if turnover is above 1.5 crore
below 1.5 crore HSN field not applicable also not need any discripttion

yes agreed HSN field is not required but than Descripttion field is to be used.

only the use on HSN is determined on the basis of T/O. the summary details is to be provided by everyone.

nooo its not corect you can leave blank column 12 HSN WISE OUTWARD DETAILS if turnover is below 1.5 crore

i do appriciate your view but i find no notification where such exemption is provided. in fact if you go throught the twitter feed of GST GOI they once mentioned the same scenerio and replied that the HSN summary is mandatory. i had kept the tweet marked. will try to find and share it here.

please check gstr user manual on gst.gov.in

there clear mention that column 12 ( this field is mendetory for above 1.5 crore )

HSN in India
Those with a turnover of less than INR 1.5 Crores need not follow HSN
Those with a turnover exceeding INR 1.5 Crores but less than INR 5 Crores shall be using the 2 digit HSN codes
Those with a turnover exceeding INR 5 Crores shall be using the 4 digit HSN codes
Those dealers who are into imports or exports shall mandatorily follow the 8 digit HSN codes.

Sir please advise, I have a supermarket with T/o 2Crores. He has over 3000 Items. How to mention HSN?

if your TO is above 1.5 cr, you dont have any option but to submit all the details... as per the return requirements it is imperative to install a good software which tracks your inventory and generate reports... i am aware that this is not possible for everyone given the cost of such systems but there is no other non labour intensive way to do this work.... amd even if you do get it done without any software, the chances of making mistake is very high and you must be aware that as per GST norms human cant make mistakes
