In the month of Sep 2017 we have done the payment on 19.10.2017 but we have filled the return on 20.11.2017 and the GST department is asking for late file and interest for one month delay so pls guide us whether I need to pay interest for late filling
Mere GST payment is not sufficient to avoid late fee ,GST returns also should be filed on time.So you need to pay interest..
But several times GST return filing extended.Late fee waived.Late fee paid was even credited back to electronic credit ledger..Check these information
