I have credit of rs 325000 in cgst and sgst against liability of rs 264000 in my check balance . still when I click on offset liability it shows you don't have enough balance in cash/credit account.
what to do as last date is coming.
please guide

first please inform how much of amount is available in CGST as well as SGST and what is tax liability under both heads?

Because the CGST ITC can be adjusted towards CGST only like wise SGST also, so please check the available balance first.

OK then no problem you can offset the liability CGST to CGST and SGST to SGST and also you have to check whether is there any late fee generated, if so you have to pay it by cash.

is there any rcm if yes prepare challan, pay tax ,take off set of rcm then offset

we can't do anything because there are problems in portal last time I'm also face such type of errors

@ Purva Jain,

Please check whether any late fee is reflecting in the portal...because assesee who has filed the GSTR-3B for aug month lately, the late fee is reflecting now for sept GSTR-3B

It's not system error. You ll be check in payment column for any late fee or RCM liability...


Also which month return you ll be try...
