1) what is GSTR 2 return?
2) what is the use of it ?

1. It's inwards related return that mean purchase & Inwards.

2. You can rectify and confirm the ITC with Your supplier. In case any of the supplier missed the invoices, Wrong details then You can rectify / Cancel and etc in the return...

you can rectify the old bills on or before due date of filling annual return that will ie before 31st December

Yes... As per Gst rule ITC of PY bills can be taken in CY September return or Annual return whichever is earlier...

Note :
GSTR 2 is not available or No more in FY. So, wait on further availability.

oh...then how can we rectify it???
Then....it is showing the option "To rectify the GSTR 2A return, go to Gstr 2"......wat abt it??

Suppose I misstake itc to Vodafone. But Vodafone submit my details his return . Then I can offset and take itc in same month

You can check out the input details in GSTR 2A...

***Even You can claim ITC based on valid Invoices which is based on Gst invoice rule...
