When filing gst returns does credit notes are deducted from Sales and debit notes are deducted from Purchases.Can debit notes be deducted from sales also. If so in which situation

There is No difference Credit Note or Debit Note in GST , you cannot change the fundamental of accounts.

Credit Note issued to debtors reduce sale
Debit Note Issued to debtor Inreased the sale .

Debit Note issued to supplier Reduces the Purchases
Credit Note issued to supplier Increase the purchase
