27 October 2022My sister will be earing approximately 8-10 lakh as freelance income this year and about 10 lakh as FD interest income. She doesn't have GST. Does she need GST now as her total income (freelance income plus FD income) may go above 20 lakhs? Or can she just file ITR and pay the tax?

No need of GST registration, as FD interest is exempted under GST...
She can just file ITR and pay Income tax...
