What is journal entry for credit note without gst(commercial credit note ?
How to account in the books? Please help
For eg:- during the financial year there is sale of Rs.300000+10% GST but the goods is returned by the purchaser supplier issued commercial credit note? How it effect in the books?
Sales Return A/C Dr. 300000/-
To Debtor A/C. Cr. 300000/-
( Good return by purchaser)
As you stated in query , above entry is without effect of GST
If GST applicable then CGST A/c , SGSTA/c will be debited .
