GST Registration Mandatory For Small Businessmen, PM Modi Commands Tax Officials

The prime minister of India, Narendra Modi commands tax officials to mandate GST registration for small businessmen with turnover less than 20 lakhs. He further added the government is working to create an atmosphere where the strength of corrupts will get down and the honest taxpayers’ confidence and trust will increase.
PM Modi in two days Revenue Knowledge program addressed centre and state’s tax officials in order to supply maximum benefit to all the businessmen, he added we will have to work to ensure that all the businessmen along with who less than 20 lakhs turnover, must be registered in GST system. Besides, he advised designing a system to work in this segment.

Currently, the business person with less than 20 lakh turnover, does not require to register under GST. Also, they are exempted to pay any indirect taxes. PM Modi has said, GST will help in bringing transparency in the system. Also, within two months, 17 lakh new businessmen are brought under the system.
PM said to the officials that to find and seize undeclared income and property use data analytical tool more and more. In this concern, he suggested consolidating data analytical and investigation wing, which have need of reconstructing human resource management in tax departments.
