Gst registration for broker/agent

Registration 500 views 7 replies

Hi Guys,

I provide services in West Bengal and I serve various textile dealers  from various parts of the country by providing agent services for selling their garments in local shops in WB. My service brokerage does not exceed 20 L threshold, but i received advise from one of my mates that I should take registration and pay GST because I provide services to dealers in different parts of the country as well so even though I don't exceed the TL of 20L, I'm liable to register myself. Please help me with the relevant advise.

Thanks.

You are receiving services from your mate, If the value of that services doesn't exceed 20 Lacs. You need not to take registration.

If your agreement is as agent acting on behalf of principal supplier you have to take registration irrespective whether your turnover exceed the threshold limit. I reside in Kolkata. You can contact me on 9883087539 for detailed discussion.
if Agent is unregistered in GST , I am traders registration under GST & I am pay commission to agent . please tell me This transaction is Covered under RCM in GST
yes you have to pay on RCM basis if your payment exceed rs. 5000/- per day.
but This is limit is applicable for only goods
not service
Please solve this problem
