GST Registration

My friend is starting a Beauty parlor. She wants to get her business registered under GST. Please suggest whether she opt for Regular or Composition scheme?

composition adopt for you and u cant take itc on purchase on regular number..

As per the Provision of SECTION 10 of CGST Act 2017, Service Providers ( except in case of Restaurant ) cannot opt for Composition Scheme u/s 10 of the CGST Act 2017.

Since your Friend is in Service Providing business i.e. Beauty Parlour, She is not eligible to opt for Composition Scheme.

Therefore, go for Regular Scheme and pay GST accordingly.

if turnover is upto 5 lakhs than opt composition scheme... @ shivam Rc

Also I see / Saw the GST Council meetings like 29th. But, The Said decision (Not Notifications) says who is deal businesses (Under Composition scheme and it's rules) and It's related Services can be avail the limit of values (as 5 lakhs or 10% of values)....

May be any wrong in my understanding about the Council decision (not give any notifications) then Please correct my Mistakes...

Ask your friend to visit https://instaspaces.in They can help you to provide best solution to your problem whether she should opt for Regular or a composition scheme. They are also into providing GST registration so they can help her with it too.

As correctly pointed out by Shivam RC, your friend cannot opt for composition scheme since he/she engaged in providing beauty service.

It is proposed to add a new proviso for the 'manufaturer' or 'trader' who are supplying services as well, to give them the benfit to avail the composition scheme if the value of the supply of service does not exceed 10% of the turnover or 5lakhs whichever is higher.

Please note that the above benefit is only for manufacturer or trader and not to service providers. Since your friend is engaged in providing service only, he/she cannot opt for composition scheme.
