Is GST registration mandatory for business dealing Exempt or Nil rated, within State turnover exceeding 20lakh.

Not required to get register in GST if you are dealing in exempted goods exclusively irrespective of your turnover.

It is clearly mentioned in GST act that no need to get register.

Thanks for valuable reply. But business dealing with goods rate under GST is "Nil Rated".

no need to get registered if dealing in 100% exempted or nil rated goods...but if only 1% of goods is taxable good than total turnover is taken and registration is mandatory taking total turnover of taxable and exempted goods
