From 25th September 2019 applying for refund became automatically. RFD-01 is activated.
whether supporting documents needs to be submitted to the dept immediately after filing RFD-01 or submit after proper officer ask for it

All the supporting documents needs to be uploaded thru portal only.

once DM is issued you have the option to submit additional docs.

the uploading size is around 5 mb. so if documents are too many the you have to visit the officer ofline
