Updates from 12th July, 2017 The government has rubbished recent reports stating that hostel services provided by schools and hostels will be charged at 18% GST. The authorities have issued a clarification stating that boarding and lodging services in hostels run by educational institutions from the pre-school to higher secondary level will be exempted from GST.
