whether GST is applicable on transportation of books. please provide exemption entry no or notification is any.

The transportation of books is exempt from GST. This exemption is provided under Notification No. 12/2017-Central Tax (Rate), specifically under Entry No. 181. This notification exempts services by way of transportation of goods by road, except the services of a Goods Transport Agency (GTA) and a courier agency
