Gst on rent

i am a registered person and am paying rent to a registered person.

he will now charge 18% gst on rent which i will get credit.

support rent is 20000 and gst on it 3600.

so i should deduct tds on rent that is 20000

or should deduct tds on rent+gst = 23600

please explain

no...tds is deduct only on rent part..not on gst part

on 20000 only because Tds will be deducted as per income tax rules
