GST on redevelopment of property

Hi,

There were 2-3 old buildings in the same complex and the same were demolished and new property is being constructed.

Can someone please confirm whether GST is applicable on the redevelopment of property, if yes, rate of GST?

Actually, builder is charging 6% GST on the said property.
