10 June 2019Should DG electricity supply by builder come under GST at 18%? there are many societies that don't have govt electricity connection yet so building providing supply by DG and charging 18% GST on the same. As per govt notification electricity comes under GST exemption. Should it be any different in case of builder providing DG supply?

His charges are for DG set services and not for electricity supply.

Thank you Mr. Dhirajlal. Is there any guidance how GST should be calculated for DG set services? should it be 18% on the overall electricity charges?
