Basically, GST is collected by owner from tenant of commercial units of the building alongwith rent and deposit it to Government.
But in case the owner is not registered under GST, but tenant is RD..... then tenant directly pays it to government under RCM.
There is no basic exemption limit for rental supply....... if anyone of them is registered; otherwise aggregated 20 lakhs intrastate supply limit exists for supplier.....
