If GST not paid by supplier, can department recover GST amount along with interest & penalty ?
When penalty impose by department ?

Yes, it is around 5000Rs penalty if the GST is not paid. The other day I had gone to purchase a Saree. The shop owner had shown me an array of sarees and told me the price. I had asked him they had increased the price and he told me that before they were not adding GST in order to get attraction from customers and this led to them having to pay a penalty. Now they have leveraged the prices and have added that to the total price.
