GST no. required distic wise??

Hello to All,

I want to know, I have a GST no. in meerut distic and I want to work in other district in same state so in this case what shall I need another gst no.??

please help..

No new GST number required if you want to work in other district but in same state.

No need for another gst number within same state if the business activity is same. just amend your existing gst registration and add addresses of other premises under Additional place of business.

If you are working within the same State, then no New/Fresh Registration is required. You can apply the GSTIN Number of Meerut in other districts of the same state as well. No Problem.

As per Section 25(2) person can have single registration in State , So under one state you can have multiple business under same Registration.

So if you already have the GSTN in UP can carry your business under same GSTN in any district of UP.

Note ; Make Sure to Add place of business in registration certificate

Under GST you cannot take multiple Registration under same PAN in the same state. But after the CGST Amendment Act, 2019, if you have different business verticals, then you can apply for different Registrations even within the same state.

For ex- If Mr. A is running a factory of Footwear Manufacturing in Agra and he runs a factory of Bisleri Water manufacturing in Noida. Then he can take separate Registration for both the firms although they are in same state because both are different business verticals.

The Defination of Business Vertical u/s 2(18) has been omitted vide Amendment Act 2018, Section 2(c) , which is effective from 1/2/2019 & Provisio under Section 25(2) of CGST act " that person having multiple business verticals in state maybe granted a separate registration for each business vertical subject to such condition". This provisio has been also scrapped and the new provisio has been inserted" that a person having multiple places of business in state maybe granted a separate registration for each such place of business, subject to such condition." This new provision has been inserted effective from 1.2.2019. In this regard, the new rule 11 has also been inserted vide notification 3/2019 C.T. and the same has been affective from 1.2.2019.

So the concept of Business Vertical is no more exist in GST & as per new rule & Provisio under section 25 of CGST ,So under one GSTN you can have multiple business or can grant separate Registration for each business in State
