The maximum limit of late fees is Rs.5000
Doubt is, whether Rs. 5000 is per month return or all the months together ?
eg:- Late fee for sept return = 7550
late fee for oct return = 6050
Now late fee = 5000
or late fee = 10000 ?

5000 for cgst and 5000 for sgst... So total monthly late fee maximum for each return is 10000..... Late fee is for each return Gstr3B gstr1 all returns separately
maximum late fees under GST is Rs 5000 per return
For July August September late fee is waived off

Late fee is rs. 5000 for cgst & 5000 for sgst per return per month...
5000 + 5000 = 10000 maximum penalty per return ( not per month)
