Is GST input credit Is availed for Continental Plan??

What is continental plan?

Continental Plan means room with breakfast(bread, fruit , coffee , tea, juice).

In that case you will get full ITC as per section 17(1) and 17(5) of CGST Act.

Type of Restaurants/Hotels/Lodges	GST Rate
All restaurants	5% no ITC
Restaurants within hotels (room tariff <7,500)	5% no ITC
Restaurants within hotels (room tariff >7,500 )	18% with ITC
Outdoor catering	18% with ITC
Hotels & Lodges with tariff below Rs. 1000	Exempt

But Continental Plan is a food and as per GST we are not eligible for input credit. Then how come we are eligible?

Since you are providing same category of service or as an element of composite or mixed supply you will be eligible for the ITC.

An outdoor caterer purchasing sweets from Tiwari sweets is eligible to take ITC. Also see GST rate provided by Mr. Prasad above.

I am not sure about ITC for continental plan , because it may be in restaurant or in Hotel attach to restaurant .
