Gst for exporter

Hi.... we are doing business of general trading of exports. now i just want to update ourselves that are we liable to pay GST @ 18 % on our local purchase as we dont any sale in INDIA ??? if yes then how can we get the refund for the GST 18% which we have paid during our purchase ?? as there are lots of peoples whom i asked the same question but always got different answers. so we think caclubindia is the best option that we have...kindly resolve the same

You can either pay igst on exports utilise your credits and claim refund of tax paid. Or you can export without paying taxes under bond or LUT and claim refund of credits. For refund you have to file rfd 01 and rfd 11

so we can get the refund of total amount of 18% GST on our purchase value. ?? and what is the procedure ?? and howmuch time it will take for refund ??. kindly revert

100% refund will be available if you only have export sales. Where both local and export sales takes place then 100% refund wont be allowed. It will be calculated proportionately. For full procedures go through refund rules. Rules are available on CBEC site.
