Gst for a job worker

What are the statutory compliance for a job worker? Will he be liable to charge gst from principal for services offered to him?

yes @ 5% if he exeeds the theshold limits

Nature of job work: On CNC machine for small auto parts...

Started working 4 months ago.so not yet exceeded the minimum limit.

But will he be required to register for GST?

If you are registered under GST. You can issue Invoice to Your principal supplier. If not They ll be paid Tax under RCM.
Tax Rate @ 18%
